As Christians commemorated the crucifixion of Jesus in Al Quds 2000 years ago, and anticipated the resurrection of his spirit around the world, the barbarians occupying the holy land of Palestine launched an renewed assault of fire and destruction on Gaza, targeting the tent camps which now house hundreds of thousands of Gazans whose homes they have destroyed. One such missile strike is pictured in the sequence above, which killed and incinerated a handful of children and injured dozens more. While 'Israel' appears to be using more incendiary weapons as well as fragmentation warheads to kill and injure people sheltering in concrete buildings like the UN schools, tent camps provide their own fuel, and without water or special equipment, these 'safe places' quickly become lethal infernos - as 'Israel' apparently intends. Below the victim of one such tent camp fire this week. And if you find the image distressing, consider how it might feel for those who have no protection from the smell of roasted human flesh, bones and offals.
The latest news from Gaza is contained in this report from Al Jazeera for April 22nd, news ignored by most Western media thanks to the Pope's death, and despite his personal quest for peace and justice in Palestine and Gaza. Even as Israeli leaders vowed to obliterate all signs of Palestinian life in Gaza, their President Isaac Hertzog declared his condolences and admiration for Pope Francis, despite his advocacy for Palestinians. Many Israelis welcomed the Pope's passing, as an enemy of Israel. Only they could make such a man an enemy.
When it seems that the Zionists can plumb the depths of human depravity no further, it is an illusion; the sadism and casual persecution of their desperately deprived and hurt victims is illustrated at the start of that video, and in the subsequent report, showing what remains of Jabalia's fleet of excavators, trucks and tankers after 'Israel' did its best to destroy them. When the ceasefire plan was enacted, the day before Trump's inauguration, 'Israel' agreed to allow into the strip thousands of temporary shelters and scores of excavators and bulldozers, needed to clear roads as well as to help lift concrete rubble in the search for dead relatives; many thousands of people returned to Northern Gaza to look for their missing relatives, so that they might rebury them with a little dignity. But this thought was evidently too much for the 'Israelis'. The hypocrisy is even greater than the evil in their spirit, as they will sacrifice the lives of hundreds of innocents just to secure the release of some 'Jewish' corpses. Heaven forbid that 'Hamas' would treat those corpses in the way that they do, ploughing bodies into the sand with bulldozers in a way that one wouldn't even treat a dead animal. In this second Al Jazeera report from April 22nd, Zein Bashravi describes the severe 'humanitarian situation' as everything starts to finally run out, and also hears from some locals on the destruction of their life-saving machinery and plant.
While these terrible – and daily – events in Gaza didn’t merit a word in the news, there was a report from a UN agency on the difficulties posed for Polio vaccination teams in Gaza. As I’ve written before, the Polio vaccination program in Gaza was ridiculously unnecessary and inappropriate, and rather perverse; the danger of a paralysis-causing polio infection is quite low – 1%, while the danger to children from losing a limb is very high; if we can’t stop one, then we needn’t bother with the other. That UN agencies would even think of this at this time suggests that there will be no end to the genocide if the UN has anything to do with it.
